A crescent moon hung low over the twisted black sky...
A large she-wolf lunged herself through the twisted trees and vines that were unmistakeably marking the entrance of the caves. Her strong hardy paws dug deeply into the soil. She was moving loudly and carelessly, she did not wish to be secret.
She arrived in front of the mouth of the caves. Her dark blood purple pelt glistened beautifully in the moonlight. She shook her large majestic head fiercely. Her egyptian orbitals surveyed the land around her. With a swish of her mighty tail a hare appeared.
The hare cowered in fear. He was small for a hare, obviously a runt. His fur was matted and an unattractive pale gray. He shook in the she wolf's presence. "What news have you?"
"The packs," whispered the hare fearfully, "they....they... are fighting... in the shadowclan lands."
Artemis nodded thoughtfully before speaking once more, "Talaron!"
The hawk appeared quickly, "Your majesty."
"What news," She hissed.
The hawk opened its beak to reply but was quickly cut off by a light sable wolf with a turquoise teal ringlet tail.
"Hello Artemis," she replied calmly, though their was distaste in her voice.
"Ah. Rainlily. What a surprise to see you here," Artemis spat angrily. She was much larger than Rainlily and raised her stance intimidatingly.
Rainlily was frightened. She had a past with this evil shewolf. She knew what Artemis was capable of. "What are you doing here."
Artemis cackled angrily. In the blink of an eye she lunged at Rainlily.
Rainlily was caught off guard, she attempted to raise her head to shelter the blow but was knocked to the ground.
Artemis clenched down on Rainlily's throat, piercing her fur and skin. The sweet taste of blood began to trickle into her mouth as her orbitals dialated in ecstacy.
