The air felt hot and humid, perfect really, as far as she was concerned. The moon grew a little more this night, but it's fullness had yet to be obtained. Faint streaks of shrouding clouds draped along the starlit sky and far below it's wonderous sight, a lone figure trekked onward. Each lanky mitt kicking up dust and pebbles as she went, her black and blue fur stained with dirt from the afternoon. The sound of chirping crickets died away, and the grass gave way to sand and rock. Bit by bit the forest fell behind the lone wolf and gave way to a more barrent terrain. She could smell the moisture from the caves, it gave itself away with that dank damp scent.
It was that musky aroma that drew Nightfall to the cavern; as foreign as the tunnels where, it still felt familiar. Thoughts sifted to a dark night and no moon. Of gleaming yellow eyes and a mother's cry of despair. She shook her head, her one good eye zoning in on the shadowed opening that sunk away into the earth. The remains of a torn and tattered bushy tail wagging impatiently accross the canines haunches as she stopped before the opening and narrowed her eye. One good ear twisting back, the other torn and unwhole, perking foreword. Listening... waiting. No sound came from the cave mouth, and Nightfall felt assured that she would not be disturbed as she took her first few steps into the bitter darkness.

Kally:
A hollow, empty, dark feeling would always creep into my sould. It was bitter sweet and felt calming. My heart ached from the loved ones I lost. Yet still I was strong and proud to walk in my own shadow. I slinked silently in the pitch black cave. It was damper than most and river water would seep through its roof. Large rock pieces will jutt out of its earthy floor. I took a step forward. Ears pricked I listened and waited. There was a faint sound, it seemed almost muted yet I could tell it was close.I raised my head up a little bit to see a dark outline of another wolf. My fur spiked upwards and I bared my teeth. "Who goes there?" I growled taking small steps closer. My ears pulled back and I snapped my teeth. I stretched my claws, fur bristling. "Come on show yourself" I barked. A thin sliver of moonlight shown brightly on one part of the cave. I circled around the moonlighted area, never keeping my guard down.

The trickle of water, the smell of pugnent moss and musky odors; it made the she-wolf's nose wrinkle in distaste. Yet despite the obvious displeasure written on her canine features, the lone wolf felt quite at home in the darkness. Ah, but your not alone. That inner voice called, and no sooner had Nightfall discerned the distinct scent of another, did a defiant voice creep up around her, echoing off the cool jagged walls like a disgruntled croon. Certainly, Nightfall had a million flaws; physical and otherwise that might put in her the 'non dangerous' catagory. But if you read those flaws well, if you note the abrupt tear of flesh around one ear; the tangle mess of half a tail and the scars tracing her delicate features. Well... you would think quite the opposite.
She had nothing to fear; fear died with the rest a lifetime ago.. and stepped cooly into the moonlit space. A sneer twisted along her onyx lips as carnivorous fangs flashed in a crooked smile. Her blind eye hidden beneath the lengthy tresses of blue fur while the other pierced coldly; calulatingly, into the dark. "I could ask you the same thing..." Nightfall coos venomously. Her tail lifting in a straight arch while the fur along her spine began to bristle with indignant impatience. Theres no denying the arrogance in her defensive stance, the blatant disregard for caution in her night spotted vision. "Sneaking up.. tsk tsk, didn't mummy ever tell you to play nice?" She calls mockingly. But even now her eyes had adjusted, she can see the faint signs of a shadow and a figure. Come out come out wherever you are...

Kally frowned slightly at the creature that set before her. Yes she called the wolf a creature it was like nothing she had ever seen before. Even Zig couldnt compare. She fluffled out her blue and white pelt.Kally then laughed mockingly. "Ah well it runs in the family and well didnt your mother ever teach you to groom your pelt?" She hissed back. Kally slinked forward then sat down. She narrowed her eyes. "Who might you be?" She asked. Honestly Kally didnt want a fight, just sleep. It showed partially in her eyes. She could tell Nightfall wasnt scared, why should she? Kally was thinner more elagant than most wolves. She would strut out into the world, head high in the sky, chest puffed. She looked flawless. Until Flash came into her life.

Was it playful banter or mockery in the the stranger's voice? Either way it brought cause for a snarl to rumble free from her chest as the she-wolf came into view, taking a seat. Nightfall immediately took in the vixen with a scuritinizing gaze. Obsering the flow of white glistening fur and blue stripes that traced her delicate frame. She did not return the favor of relaxing so casually by sitting down. Bothering with idle chit-chat wasn't one of her forte's. Her muzzle wrinkle, still glowering as a velvet tongue slipped out to lick her chops. Her one good ear perking foreword assertively while the other remained matted beneath the blue fur along her scalp. "I don't believe I offered." She pointed out callously. Her head tilting upwards just slightly as she sniffed at the air, waiting for a tale-tell sign, an odor, to place this female to somewhere; but none came.
She smelled of nothing and no one; a loner, just like Nightfall. Although whether she'd had the same idea as Night about finding shelter in the damp caverns was yet to be seen. "As for my fur..." She flashed her fangs in a vicious smirk. "Well, not all of us can live the life of a princess now can we dollface?" Nightfall retorts bitterly. She doesn't move to leave; but nor does she fidget to sit. She remains standing, poised and ready as if expecting the pristine she-wolf before her to strike out. Paranoid? Perhaps... Nightfall liked to think of it more like caution. Denial at it's best.

Kally gave a quick chuckle then bared her teeth harder. "I know that but no wolf could treat themselves like you do...or are you even a wolf?" She said coldly. Kally got up and flickered her blood red tail. She raised one of her paws and scratched her ear. Glaring at the annoying and well deadly wolf; Kally layed down. This was no peace offering. More of a trick, and almost every wolf has fallen for it. She smiled sweetly. Inside she was tired, but it never shows on her face. Kally narrowed her eyes. "And who the h*** are you?" She barked.
