(Well everyone is bugging me to post what I have so far -coughnikcough- so here it is!)
Prologue:
My fingers danced playfully on a coal black keyboard. Flashes of green light would light up the pitch black room. There I sat in an old chair. My eyes never leaving the monitor screen as if I was in a trance. I pushed my glasses up then continued typing. I would stop once in a while to check the time, tapping my watch to see if it was still working. Sighing, I pushed myself away from the computer and looked up at the ceiling. New York’s city was extremely loud, especially for me since I rarely step outside. Stretching I got up from the chair and pressed the enter key. A thin chip popped out from the laptops side. It was flimsy and weak. I frowned, hoping it would have been thicker. I grabbed it carefully and very slowly stuffed it into my pocket. I slightly pushed my ruffled brown, spiked hair back.

(OK this is the WHOLE proluoge, including what I had already posted!)
Pushing my glasses up more I walked out of the back door that was connected to my room. I was almost tempted to cover my ears as the roaring city came to life. People walked passed me, each with a cell phone in their hands. Some cursed slightly to themselves as they walked around me. I gave a little irritated snort and headed down Main Street. I turned left into an alley and quickened my pace. Figures loomed beside me, their arms out stretched and hands cupped. I ignored them and kept on looking straight ahead. Almost there. I rounded a second corner to meet up with a tall gray building. Its windows were tinted and some were shattered at the top. I jogged up its marble steps and pushed open the tinted glass doors. I stopped abruptly as a gross smell lingered in the air. I coughed then peered through the smoky air. A tall teenager stood in front of me. His hair was pointed and was a deep black. He wore a black tuxedo. I smiled. “Hey Tick” I said slapping his back in greeting. Tick frowned at me and dragged his cigarette. “Glitch this isn’t the time to be all happy go lucky, our client is soon too arrived” He said looking unhappily at me. I shrugged. “Well at least it’s better than being like this” I made a sour face and crossed my arms over my chest. Tick laughed. “Here want one” He asked handing me a box full of cigarettes. I shook my head. “Better be safe then sorry” I replied. Again Tick frowned and looked away from me. “Ah our client has arrived” he said suddenly rubbing his hands together. “Ah yes Scrooge the money theft” I said in an old voice. I hunched my back and closed one eye. I felt a hard whack at my head and quickly stood up straight. “Hey watch it” I said rubbing the back of my neck. Just as I said that the doors flung open. A woman strode in a cigarette placed neatly in between her fingers. I wrinkled my nose in disgust as she blew the toxic fumes into the air. “So where is the chip” She asked holding out her hand. Tick bowed slightly. “Yes Glitch has it” He said nodding towards me. I smiled and reached into my pocket, scrambling for the chip. “Um ah Tick, May I speak to Glitch…alone” The women asked. Tick nodded then walked into an empty room. “What’s the deal?” I asked still searching for the chip. The women pressed me against the wall. “You are in danger” she wheezed. I laughed. “From what second hand smoking?” I said. She narrowed her eyes and reached into her purse. “Take a look at this”. I grabbed a neatly folded piece of paper. Opening it, my eyes grew wide. Glitch is suspected of crime and will be killed once found. He is suspected for hacking and stealing personal information. I blinked my mouth gapping. “How, how did they find out?” I asked. The woman nodded towards the spare room where Tick was humming to himself. “He wants you killed Glitch, go run and hide” She whispered in my ear. I gulped. “Um Tick I don’t feel so well I will bring the chip tomorrow” I yelled. Not waiting for an answer I raced out the door and into Main Street. There I dropped the paper and ran for my life.
Ouch needles scratched my arms and legs as carelessly made my way through a forest. I was well far away from the city and Tick now. I bit my lip and continued onward. The moon hanged lazily in the sky. The moonlight guided my way as I stopped and leaned against a tree. I was breathing heavily. All I could think about was food and water. Closing my eyes I thought about my computer. I quietly recited my hacking codes then opened my eyes. Bright lights loomed ahead of me. I stumbled towards them not really caring if it was my imagination. Iron gates popped up into view. On the top of the gates there was letters reading, Academy of Lightning Village. I warily made my way through the gates and into the Village. I fell to my knees exhausted. There I fell asleep on the dirt.

(OK this is all I have of Chap. 1 so far, i just started today!)
Chapter .1
Glitch
I sat upon a gray rock. One hand was placed firmly on its smooth surface while the other was flipping through random pages of my book. It was a clear morning. The leaves were turning different colors and falling gently to the ground. I pushed up my glasses and looked up. I was content and happy. There was no more stress now. It’s been a year since New York City, Tick, and that strange woman. I was safe here in Lightning Village, turns out it’s a ninja academy also. I closed my book then stuffed it into my sack. I let the sunshine seep into my arms and legs. A shadow slipped pass me and I looked up alerted. A girl was strolling pass me, her arms swinging happily by her side. She looked around fifteen or so. Her blue side bangs swayed in the cool breeze. I stood up and waved to her trying to get her attention. She looked up then quickly ducked her head. Her hair covered her eyes and she shuffled her feet nervously. “Sup” I said jogging towards her. “Um...uh...hi” she whispered. I leaned against a tree and again pushed my glasses up. She didn’t say anything else just tapped her thigh. “Hey you okay?” I asked getting worried. I pushed up my spiked brown hair. Her tapping became faster and faster. I stood up straight then smiled. “You want to go for a walk?” I asked. I turned around and again pushed my glasses up. God did I feel like a dork. I could sense she was hesitant, but finally she weakly nodded and stopped tapping. I slowed my pace down so we were walking side by side. “You don’t have to walk with me” I said. “No its fine” She mumbled not looking at me. “What’s your name?” I asked hoping I wasn’t bombarding her with questions. “Lark” She whispered. I smiled at Lark. “I’m Glitch” I said. She only nodded briefly. Sighing, I rummaged through my sack and pulled out some Doritos.

“Want some” I handed the bag to her. Lark thought carefully then took it. “Thank you” She whispered. I smiled “No problem”. We walked in silence for a few minutes after that. I quietly pulled out my book and thumbed through the pages. Lark looked at the book with interest. “Whatcha reading?” She asked. “Tithe” I replied. I handed the book over to her. “Want to read it?” I asked back. She shook her head, “Don’t you want to finish it?” I laughed “Nah I already know the ending” I smiled and urged her with my hands to take it. Lark smiled sweetly then grabbed the book. She dropped it gently into her shoulder bag and kept on walking. She looked awkward walking. Her arms stiff at her side. “Hey you do have to walk like it’s just you and me out here” I said calmly. Lark nodded and slowly lifted her head. She let her arms fall more loosely. I nodded then looked straight ahead. “Nice day” I said. Lark nodded, for it was indeed a beautiful day. I paused for a second to check my bag. Panic flooded over me as I searched the sack. The one thing that will keep me alive was gone. I looked up at Lark, my face was turning pale. “My chip is gone” I said. Lark looked at me confused. “Do you think you left it as a book mark?” I shrugged. Lark looked through her sack and pulled out the book. “Here check” She said. I flipped through its pages then sighed in relief. “Here it is” I said happily. I tucked the delicate chip it my pocket and handed the book back to Lark. Lark took it and again placed it in her bag. “So what’s the chip used for?” She asked shyly. I looked nervously at her. “It’s uh” I said groping for words. “You don’t have to answer” Lark said looking up at me. “I used to hack into computers with that chip” I blurted out. Lark shrugged “So” she said. “So!” I squeaked. “I used to hack into computers, steal private information; I practically knew where everyone lives and does!” I whispered. Lark blinked a couple of times “Oh” she said. “But you are safe here” She confirmed. I relaxed then smiled. Looking back up I pushed my glasses up again. Lark giggled beside me, I smiled. “Don’t I look so much like a dork doing this?” I asked. I stuck a finger on my glasses and pushed them up while sticking out my tongue. Then I and Lark burst out laughing. “Wow it’s been ages since I last laughed, thank you Glitch” Lark said her voice now going over a whisper. I smiled even wider “No problem”. I tried to do a quick hand spring. I wobbled a bit at the end almost knocking my glasses off. “Told them I needed contacts” I said laughing. Lark laughed too. "Contacts would be much easier. Especially when you’re a ninja!" She did a cartwheel and from that did a back flip. Landing with grace she smiled. I snapped my fingers. “I told them” I took off my glasses and put it in my sack. I then did a backwards flip followed by a hand spring. I landed in front of Lark. “Ta-da” I said bowing. “The magnificent Glitch and Lark coming to you live from none other than mio” I added. Lark laughed harder "Yeah people will pay lots to see two teens doing flip!" she said jokingly. She sighed peacefully. I smiled “Yeah like a cent” I rummaged through my sack and pulled out my glasses. I put them back on “At least I could see you” I said. I then did my best snooty teacher look. The one with my hair slicked back and my glasses at the tip of my nose. “For if the world didn’t suck we would all fall off” I said in my best impression. Lark and I were breaking down now laughing. We clutched our sides and tried to catch our breath again. “Hey Glitch thanks” Lark said smiling.
