"Now, stay right there." Midnight ordered. He dove underwater, swam behind him, and came back up. He splashed Iggy, then dove back underwater before he could see him.

Midnight rose back up behind Iggy and splashed him one last time. Then he dove under and tugged on his tail.

Midnight avoided the kick, and swam back up to the suface. "Nice counter!" He barked, gasping for breath. "Now, let's try some land moves. " Midnight started to swim towards the exit of the water, then stopped. "Have I taught you how to get in and out of water silently?" He asked.

"Okay then, I will teach that in case we decide to fight. Or get attacked. If we get attacked on a patrol, they will usually send the youngest to go and get help. So, here is what you do. You drop into the deer croudh, like this," Midnight dropped into the deer crouch. "And the farther in you get, the more you'r body stays, and your legs unfold." Midnight demonstrated. His body stayed where it was, but it was his legs that started to touch as far as they could. When he couldn't reach, he started to swim. When he got to where he could touch, His body still stayed where it was, but his legs folded, untill there was no more water left, in which he shook his fur dry. "Like that! Basically, try to keep your body where no sound will be made, and let your legs move." Midnight explained.

Iggy nodded. He crouched down and crept into the water. He accidentally made the water shift. Soon he was swimming. He started to get out and made it without noise.

"Bravo!" Midnight barked. Iggy was special, because most apprentices didn't make it out without making a noise. They usually make noise coming in and out. Midnight motioned to Iggy to follow him. He started back to the Training Area.

Iggy happily followed Midnight. Getting in and out had been very hard.

When they got to the training area, Midnight immediately ran over to two overlapping branches. The trees were close together, and they had vines holding them against the trees. "You see these?" Midnight asked. He continued without letting Iggy answer. "These work for a good move, and help practice kicking. Now pretend that this is a wolf, and the bottom is the wolf's stomache." Midnight barked. " I will show you the move that you can do with this." He leaped into the bushes, and came silently crawling out. He got behind the two branches, and crawled under them, not making a sound. He rolled onto his back, and kicked up as hard as he could. The vines undid, and the branches started to come down, but Midnight rolled out of the way. He stood up, and started to attach the branches and the trees back with the vines. The vines were attached to the tree, so they would never fall off. He walked over to Iggy when he finished. "Can you try that? And don't kick it so hard that it falls off until you practice rolling quick." Midnight barked. He was not going to take any chances of the Branches falling on Iggy.

Iggy nodded. He had had some bad experients with branches. He leaped into the bushes. He crept around till he was behind the branches. He crept under them and softly kicked with his hindlegs and rolled away. He didn't make the branches fall.

"Nice! Now if you had kicked harder, the branches would've hit you, which is why we have apprentices practice rolling." Midnight barked. He got on the ground to demonstrate. He rolled as fast as he could, and when he got up, he was covered in dirt so much, you might've called him 'muddy'! "You can tell that you rolled faster when your pelt is covered in more dirt." Midnight explained.
